McLean OCD Institute at Houston is an expansion of McLean Hospital's flagship OCD Institute in Belmont, Massachusetts, the country's first residential OCD program. Located in Houston, Texas, the program offers a residential support program and partial hospitalization program for adults with OCD, as well as an intensive outpatient program for adolescents. The program is led by Dr. Elizabeth McIngvale, PhD, LCSW, a nationally recognized OCD expert and person with lived experience of OCD, and was founded by Dr. Thröstur Björgvinsson, PhD, ABPP. The program is affiliated with Harvard Medical School and brings McLean's evidence based ERP model to Texas. For families in the South and Southwest who cannot access the Belmont Massachusetts campus, this is the highest-credentialed OCD residential option in the region.
